Three of our co-production panel took centre stage at an event highlighting the virtues of the Housing First model.
Wayne, Lisa and Vance spoke about their lives and their journey from the streets into their own home in films played at an event held by the Finnish Ambassador Jukka Siukosaari and Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, at the People's History Museum.
The trio have been key voices in helping push the partnership forward and we were very grateful that they agreed to take part in the films.
The event discussed the model, how it works in Finland and Mayor Burnham's vision to extend the partnership past March 2025.
He said the scheme had reduced rough sleeping in the city region by taking people out of an "endless cycle" of crisis and added that the scheme demonstrated that "if you set people up to succeed – they largely do”.
