Co-production

Our co-production panel has been a vital source of expertise and consultation, providing us with oversight and a sounding board for approaches to measuring outcomes, assessing delivery, and developing ways of working. The panel was originally made up of people with lived experience of homelessness and services, however as our programme has matured, all panel members either have been or are currently being supported by our programme.

The Co-production panel have been involved in interviewing staff for posts on the program and independently designed and hosted stage 1 interviews based on alignment of values to the HF principles.

Our panel members alongside other people supported by our programme and frontline workers developed our approach to transitioning away from HF support. This resulted in our transitions framework providing a best practice guide for staff that reflects their own experiences of services coming to an end.

People with lived experience collect people's experiences of our Housing First service via guided conversations as part of our Quality Assurance Framework. The feedback gathered in these conversations shines a light on where our frontline delivery is having most impact and ways to improve the working practices and processes, improving the outcomes for the people supported in the service.

The co-production panel articulate the impact of homeless and how services need to change to ensure they provide the help people need. Advocating and evidencing for HF, attending parliament, meeting ministers and speaking at events. More recently, the panel have been contributing to campaigns focused on using their collective voice to demonstrate how different parts of the wider system need to change. Their most recent campaign is focused on prison release. Click here to watch it.
